Le Mans 08

The chosen few were rewarded with good weather, superb roads & splendid entertainment.

Portsmouth - Le Havre crossing wasn`t as much of an epic as in previous years and could well be the route to take from now on as it arrives nice and early and cuts out boring Northern France. We stayed off the N roads and Autoroutes as much as possible thanks to Garmin twatnav and the roads were excellent. Only down side is that they take a bit longer obviously. Some cracking twisties we`d never have found using a map, so well worth the effort.

Couldn`t camp in the decent site, so we settled on 2nd/3rd best. Not to much Frog noise. We did see one Gixer smash into the front of a parked van having lost control on the wet grass. Bunny ran over to the rescue which was a bit ghey. Another Beemer fell over onto a parked vehicle, but we couldn`t see anything on the "Face of Concern" or find any mention of it in the "Book of Bothered" so we took photographs.

Garage Rouge look like a good miss, check out the vid clips....nice!
